Ruthenocenyl

Third, metallocene units, such as ferrocene or ruthenocene, have been linked to phosphazene cyclic trimers or tetramers and these were polymerized and substituted to give polymers of the type mentioned previously (41). Polyphosphazenes with ferrocenyl groups can be doped with iodine to form weak semiconductors. Polymer chains that bear both ruthenocenyl and ferrocenyl side groups are prospective electrode mediator systems. 

Chiral ruthenocenyl phosphine ligands offer no great advantages for hydroboration of styrene relative to the ferrocenyl analogues.56... 

The binuclear iron complexes (317) have been found to undergo a thermal rearrangement to afford the complexes (318), which were evidently formed via a metathesis between Si—Si and Fe—Fe bonds in (317). A similar rearrangement has been observed in a disilyl-bridged bis(cyclopentadienyl)tetracarbonyldiruthenium complex. Unprecedented and stable in — rf J7 -pentafulvadiene)dimthenium complexes (320) have been prepared" from a two-electron oxidation of frani -l,2-bis(mthenocenyl)ethylenes (319), and dimethyl analogues have been similarly obtained from trans- and cM-l,2-dimethyl-l,2-bis(ruthenocenyl)ethylenes. 

It would also be interesting to check the ability of the ruthenocene acrylonitrile cation-radical to rotate around the ethylene bond Ruthenocenyl is weaker than ferrocenyl as a donor substituent (Laus et al. 2005). The particular property of rotating around the ethylenic bond in cation-radicals is a method of elucidating an electronic structure. 

Oxidation of trows-RuCl(C=CCH Ph2)(dppe)2 favors hydrogen atom transfer leading to frons-[RuCl(=C=CHCHPh2)(dppe)2] [217]. Chemical oxidation of Ru (C=CRc)(PPh3)2Cp (Rc = ruthenocenyl) gives the cydopentadienylidene-ethylidene...

Other heterobimetallic aryl-phosphine-gold(I) complexes with different ferrocenyl derivatives, such as A-[2-A/,A/-(dimethylaminoethyl)-A-methyl-aminoethyl]-ferrocenyl (FcN,N), 2-nitroferrocenyl or ruthenocenyl, have also been reported. 

Similar to ferrocene, the ruthenocene derivatives (89) substituted with a CR R group are greatly stabilized in comparison to noncomplexed carbenes or carbonium ions. In fact, from the enhanced barrier to internal rotation in the a-ruthenocenyl carbonium ion Ru-CHMe+ (>130kJmol ) compared with the related ferrocene derivative (70kJmol ), even greater stabilization in ruthenocene is expected. 

Compound 48 and the ferrocenyl-gold""" and ruthenocenyl-gold " compounds 49 provide interesting examples of a hypercarbon atom that is not only part of an aromatic cyclopentadienyl ring system, in which it is bonded to two other carbon atoms, but also bonds simultaneously to the sandwiched iron atom and (by a 3c-2e bond) to the two coinage atoms. The related dication 50 has also been isolated. " ...
