Rupturable dosage

Uterine rupture also occurred in another three women (ages not stated) after misoprostol (dosages not stated) was used to induce labor. One underwent cesarean section because labor did not progress. During the procedure, the fetal hand and head were outside the uterine cavity (maternal and fetal outcome not stated).

Osmotic pressure was the mechanism of a ruptur-able dosage form, which was proposed by Baker in 1976 [36] 7iig goj-g tablet, which contained a drug and a disintegrant, was coated with cellulose derivates such as ethylcellulose or cellulose acetate. The core protection was defined as the time until the coating ruptured and the drug was released. 

The systems described above are single unit systems. The rupturing of the outer coating of the individual units of a multiple unit dosage form can be induced by the same principles as described for single unit systems.

Senna is widely used in fairly low doses without serious problems it has also been used in a very high dosage form to clear the colon before radiological examination. In this form it is generally well tolerated, but it should not be used if there is any predisposition to colonic rupture.
