Rules for translating from the HDSL into BNF

The formal transformation from the data structure layer to the physical layer will be described such that the fundamental concept of an entity will map onto one or more statements. In particular, if an entity has no scope it will be represented as a single statement on the neutral file (see Rules for translating from the HDSL into BNF ). 

The file structure specification is split into two parts The overall file syntax is defined in Structure of the neutral file language on page 168, while the detailed syntax of all the entity and property records is given together with the data structure specification in 5. The CAD I reference model specification on page 43 starting with the world as the target symbol. 

The translation from a data specification into the corresponding BNF production set following these general rules
