Royal Madness

As soon as the Australian meeting of the British Association was over, Moseley hastened home to offer his services to the government. He could work at home, he was told, in one of the war research laboratories, but he refused. He wanted active service at the front. So during the madness of those early war days he was granted a commission in the Royal Engineers.
