Rotating shelves

Rotating shelf - a vertical series of rotating annular tables carried by a central column that supplies coolant to the under side of the tables. One of two side columns supplies molten material to the trays and the other column carries removing knives and conveyors to remove the solid... [Pg.426]

Cram samples/150 ml. beakers placed on a rotating shelf in an air circulating oven. 6 Beaker covered with aluminum foil to restrict air circulation. The foil was carefully conformed to the walls of the top half of the beaker. [Pg.122]

Turbo-Tray Dryers The turbo-tray dryer (also known as rotating tray, rotating shelf or Wyssmont TURBO-DRYER ) is a continuous... [Pg.1380]

For rotating shelf or disk dryers, the wet solid is supported on circular trays that rotate slowly in a fixed housing. The trays or shelves are cut out in the center and have radial slots. In the TURBO-DRYER version, the shelves are mounted rigidly to a single vertical shaft. The fan assembly fits within the shaft assembly and can rotate independently of the shaft. Hot air or another drying medium is fed from suitably designed air distributors mounted on the side and is exhausted from the roof. [Pg.865]

Turbo-Tray Dryers The turbo-tray diyer is a continuous diyer consisting of a stack of rotating annular shelves in the center of which turbo-type fans revolve to circulate the air over the shelves. Wet material enters through the roof, falling onto the top shelf as it rotates beneath the feed opening. After completing one revolution, the mate-... [Pg.1214]

The handling of sticky materials can present difficulties, and one type of dryer which is useful for this type of material is the turbo-dryer. As shown in Figure 16.30, wet solid is fed in a thin layer to the top member of a series of annular shelves each made of a number of segmental plates with slots between them. These shelves rotate and, by means of suitably placed arms, the material is pushed through a slot on to a shelf below. After repeated movements, the solid leaves at the bottom of the dryer. The shelves are heated by a row of steam pipes, and in the centre there are three or more fans which suck the hot air over the material and remove it at the top. [Pg.953]

A standard procedure for manufacturing liposomes is the film-forming method where the phospholipids are dissolved in an organic solvent. By rotational evaporation of the solvent a thin, multilayered film of phospholipids arises at the inner wall of the vessel. Redispersion of this film in water or aqueous buffer results in the formation of vesieles. The size of these vesicles and the number of bilayers vary. Henee further manufaeturing steps have to follow to obtain defined vesieular dispersions with a suffieiently long shelf life. [Pg.124]

Stock Rotation and Bottled Goods Library. Chronological samples from each bottling should be stored under simulated store shelf conditions and an examination for microbial growth, color, or stability change after 1 week, 2 months, 6 months, and 2 years should be made. Tasting confirms or denies any apparent problem. [Pg.233]

The SNS Program ensures that the medical materiel stock is rotated and kept within potency shelf-life limits. This involves quarterly quality assurance/quality control checks on all 12-hour Push Packages, annual 100% inventory of all 12-hour Push Package items, and inspections of environmental conditions, security, and overall package maintenance. [Pg.462]
