RMS errors

The reason for these results is that the intensity of the leakage field and the RMS error used depend strongly on the parameter c and the crack width, and to a lesser extent on the depth profile of the crack. Also, the distribution of the density of the leakage field is measured over the centre of the crack and correspondingly changes more by varying of dj and dj rather than of d, dj, dj and d . [Pg.691]

The root-mean-square error (RMS error) is a statistic closely related to MAD for gaussian distributions. It provides a measure of the abso differences between calculated values and experiment as well as distribution of the values with respect to the mean. [Pg.145]

For all the siloxanes the network was trained at two temperature levels 25°C and 75°C. The trained network was then tested for its viscosity predictions at 50°C. The network training and testing results are shown in Fig. 8. The rms error for this prediction was 0.002. [Pg.12]

Equation (21) fits the published data belonging to the low-velocity regime (Fig. 27), with an rms error of 5.5 %, and is applicable to any system pressure. [Pg.248]

Optimized y Values and rms Errors for Eqs. (23) and (24) Applied to High-Velocity Regime Burn-Out Data from Table I... [Pg.254]

The optimized y values and the corresponding rms errors achieved for each of the four pressure groups are given in Table IV. The errors are generally higher than usual, but examination shows they are attributable to the experimental scatter which is often found to be large in early burn-out data. [Pg.259]
