Sertraline Risperidone

No information in product labeling, but low plausibility of grapefruit juice interaction bupropion, doxazosin, gabapentin, lisinopril, risperidone, sertraline, and sibutramine. 

During the course of a study of the salts formed by saccharin with quinine, haloperidol, mirtazapine, pseudoephedrine, lamivudine, risperidone, sertraline, venlafaxine, zolpidem, and amlodipine, a 1 1 cocrystal of saccharin and piroxicam was detected [68]. In the crystal structure, the asymmetric unit was found to consist of one saccharin molecule and one zwitterionic piroxicam molecule that were linked by two sets of N—H O hydrogen bonds. The piroxicam-saccharin synthons were in turn linked through bridging C—H O hydrogen bonds. Interestingly, the drug substance solubility out of the cocrystal was found to be comparable to that of the marketed piroxicam product. 

Risperidone Aripiprazole 2D6 > 3A4 2D6, 3A4 Carbamazepine and phenytoin topiramate hypericum (St. John s Wort). Paroxetine, fluoxetine, sertraline (high dose) grapefruit juice 2D6 or 3A4 substrates acting as competitive inhibitors. 

In most cases, SSRIs are the first choice for drugs to combat OCD. Clomipramine, fluvoxamine, fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline, and citalopram are all SSRIs that have been proven effective in reducing OCD symptoms. However, in about 40 to 60% of patients, these drugs do not completely alleviate all the symptoms. When this is the case, a second type of drug called a neuroleptic is often added. Cyt 2D6 metabolizes haloperidol, risperidone, thioridazine, sertindole, olanzapine and clozapine common substrates - fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline, venlafaxine, amitriptyline, clomipramine, desipramine, imipramine, nortriptyline, propranolol, metoprolol, timolol, codeine, encainide, flecanide. Common inhibitors - paroxetine, sertraline, fluoxetine. 

SSRIs are often prescribed with antipsychotic drugs, and some SSRIs inhibit CYP2D6, which can lead to increased blood concentrations of the antipsychotic drug. In 13 patients aged 26-56 years with schizophrenia, stabilized on risperidone 4-6 mg/day who took sertraline 50 mg/day for 4 weeks, plasma concentrations of risperidone and its major metabolite, 9-OH-risperidone, did not change...

Catatonia occurred in a 42-year-old woman taking valproic acid, sertraline, and risperidone (79). The catatonic features evolved for the first time after a single dose of valproate and were alleviated by lorazepam the same catatonic signs recurred after a second dose of valproate and again remitted after lorazepam.

An interaction of tetracycline with risperidone and/or sertraline has been described (188). 

A 15-year-old youth with Asperger s syndrome, Tourette s syndrome, and obsessive-compulsive disorder was stabilized on risperidone 1.5 mg bd and sertraline 100 mg od and had marked improvement in his social skills and tics, until he was given tetracycline 250 mg bd for acne. Within 2 weeks his tics were acutely exacerbated with pronounced neck jerking and guttural sounds. The sertraline was increased to 150 mg/day, but the tics did not resolve. The tetracycline was withdrawn after 1 month, and the tics improved within a few weeks.

Posey et al., 2008) with these agents have been generally consistent with results for risperidone and suggest that the therapeutic benefits of risperidone are likely shared by other drugs in this class. Placebo-controlled trials in ASD patient populations are in progress for olanzapine, sertraline, and aripiprazole (clinicaltrials.gov).
