Such soft-touch materials are usually TP Vs or thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) which combine the moldability of thermoplastics in the melt state with elasticity, lower hardness, fracture resistance, and surface characteristics of elastomers. However, plastics and elastomers respond differently to mechanical stress.
