Over the past 50 years, there have been many review articles published that provide important technical summaries of the vast amoimt of research that has taken place around the world into this important catalyst. Some of these publications include  

Hogan discussed the early research in detail in a 1964 publication [10] and in a review article discussing the History of Polyolefins [2]. 

McDaniel updated the technology in a 1985 publication, Supported Chromium Catalysts for Ethylene Polymerization [15], 

More recently, McDaniel published an extensive summary in 2010, Review of Phillips Chromlimi Catalyst for Ethylene Polymerization, in the Handbook of Transition Metal Polymerization Catalysts Chapter 10, pages 291-446, edited by Ray Hoff and Robert T. Mathers and published by John Wiley Sons, Inc. This article has 464 references and is considered by this author as the most comprehensive discussion of the Phillips catalyst [16].
