Resistance Management Program for Bt Transgenic Crops

Another approach believed to be effective in resistance management is combining two or more proteins having different modes of action. In this case, it is more difficult for insects to develop resistance as the insects need to react to two or more different toxins. An example is cotton containing the ctylAc and cry2Ab genes. 

We believe that the use of biopesticides in transgenic crop applications will steadily increase. H owever, there are technical and political hurdles to be crossed. In the technical area, we need new potent genes that can be used for high-dose
