Regulator threads

A reference electrode is fixed in each protection region in the most unfavorable place for current distribution and serves to regulate the potential. The Ag-AgCl reference electrodes in the turbine sections (El to E4) have a threaded connection that will withstand up to 60 bars of pressure. The electrode E5 in the box header is pure zinc. [Pg.472]

Corrosion of steel by carbonic acid is probably the most common problem in the post-boiler section, producing pipe grooving and general metal wastage, especially in threaded joints. This form of corrosion is not self-regulating and the reaction products can produce more carbon dioxide, thus perpetuating the corrosion problem. Typically, the condensate pH level is depressed to around 5.0 to 5.5. [Pg.512]

The valves and screw threads of cylinders and regulators should never be greased since this may lead to an explosion. If a cylinder has a very stiff spindle valve or if the screw threads are damaged, it should be returned to the suppliers for replacement. Similarly, defective regulators and pressure gauges should never be used. [Pg.39]

Princely patrons did not punish unsatisfactory alchemical practitioners indiscriminately. Like all citizens of the Holy Roman Empire, sovereigns were bound by laws that carefully regulated the administration of justice. In particular, the early modern alchemical trials were rooted in a tradition of legal writing about alchemy that extended as far back as the thirteenth century. In one important thread of medieval canon law, theological concerns about the art were primary. Alchemy appeared most often as... [Pg.149]

Examine the CGA threads of the tank and of the regulator to be sure that... [Pg.282]

Screw the fitting onto the cylinder and tighten firmly. A poor fit probably means that the regulator is not of the correct type. (Note that some cylinders have left hand threads.)... [Pg.109]

Never force threads if a regulator does not thread readily, something is wrong. [Pg.35]
