Receiving inspections percent

Tests to monitor the quality of production materials (QC tests) have relied on checking such properties as viscosity, percent solids, sag, pot life, and cure rate, in addition to measuring mechanical properties. The same tests have traditionally been used for receiving inspection procedures by the adhesive user however, there is now interest, particularly in the aircraft industry, to augment these by the use of physicochemical methods of analysis. These newer methods of control are expected to provide information of a more fundamental nature, useful in characterizing adhesives and diagnosing the causes of performance anomalies. 

The second compliance option occurs if a company decides not to develop a TSMS (or if no TSMS is developed within the first 2 years after the rule is implemented). The company must submit to an alternative USCG inspection for 25 percent of its vessels every year until all its vessels comply. One hundred percent compliance must be achieved before the company will receive the COl for its vessel from USCG. For both options, USCG will allow companies to distribute the burden of implementation over multiple years. 

Raised lift axles are to be inspected to ensru-e all components are secrme and for conditions that adversely affect the vehicles operation (i.e., air leaks, etc.). If a Critical Vehicle Inspection Item defect is discovered on the raised axle, the vehicle is not eligible to receive a CVSA decal and the defect should be documented in the notes section of the inspection report. The raised lift axle shall not be included in determining the total number of brakes on a vehicle combination for the 20 percent service brake calcrdation. If the raised lift axle is required to be lowered to comply with regulatory requirements in order to continue operation, the operator has the option to adjust or offload cargo. Otherwise the axle is subject to inspection.
