Reasonable Suspicion Testing.Part

There are six tests required under the regulations. All six are listed in Part 382, Subpart C. They are pre-employment testing, postaccident testing, random testing, reasonable suspicion testing, return-to-duty testing, and follow-up testing. [Pg.592]

The regulations require a driver to submit to an alcohol or drug test when the employer has reasonable suspicion to believe the driver has violated the drug and alcohol prohibitions in Part 382, Subpart B. The employer s suspicion must be based on specific, contemporaneous, articulable observations concerning the appearance, behavior, speech, or body odors of the driver. [Pg.70]

All time spent providing a breath sample or urine specimen, including travel time to and from the collection site, in order to comply with the random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, or follow-up testing required by Part 382 of this subchapter when directed by a motor carrier. [Pg.452]
