Professional fees

Once it has been established that you may set up an individual retirement account, you must consider the maximum amount of contributions which can be made under this type of plan. The contribution limitations are 1500 or 15% of your earned income, whichever is less. For these type of plans, earned income is defined as wages, salaries, professional fees, and self-employment income. It does not, however, include earnings from property, such as interest, dividends, or rents. These latter types of earnings are considered passive income and cannot be considered in calculating the amount of contribution which may be made. [Pg.105]

Part IIIA - Professional fees (pharmacy contractors)... [Pg.31]

This lists the professional fees pharmacies will be paid for supplying various items via NHS prescription forms. Almost all items dispensed on an NHS prescription form will attract a flat fee, which will be supplemented by an additional fee for certain items. [Pg.31]

This lists the professional fees appliance contractors will be paid for supplying differing appliances against NHS prescriptions. [Pg.31]

II, Clause 11). For example, if a contractor had to supply 50 tablets of a drug that came in a pack size of 100, they would have to purchase 100 in order to be able to supply the 50. However, if it was a drug that was rarely used, the pharmacy contractor will be financially disadvantaged if they did not supply the remainder against a prescription before the end of the item s shelf-life. Therefore, for certain items the Prescription Pricing Division will pay for the entire container (not just the proportion supplied). If a further prescription is received for the same item within six-months of a broken bulk request, the Prescription Pricing Division will assume that the supply has been made from the remainder and the only payments which will be made are professional fees and container allowances until the remainder has been used up. [Pg.33]

Provide a bid template (Brancaccio 1997) and request that it is used (ask the CROs to estimate their professional fees and the out-of-pocket/ pass-through costs). It may be prudent to insist that CROs use a template that can be supplied by the sponsor on disk. [Pg.508]

For instance, the Canterbury earthquakes exposed the lack of construction-related professionals for the rebuild. Demand for skills, such as demolition, repairs and construction, and associated professional services, has increased craisid-erably in Canterbury since February 2011 (Chang-Richards et al. 2013). There have been difficulties in recruiting workers with desired skills. Resource pressures on rebuild projects remain primarily from human resources associated with structural, architectural, and land issues relating to rebuilding. Resource shortfalls have had an inflationary impact. The inflationary effects of increased construction professional fees and an increase in temporary house rentals for the inbound construction workforce have become major concerns. [Pg.2045]

This chapter presents the South African experience with the single exit price (SEP) regulations which were enacted to deal with these distortions and to replace the mark-up-based retail pricing systems with fixed professional fees in order ultimately to reduce the price to patient. [Pg.204]

South Africa s attempt to control prices at wholesale level has elements of a fixed professional fee but with a fixed maximum, based on a tiered scale that considers the price of the product. At retail pharmacy level, the professional fees are also fixed, on a tiered system that endeavours to promote the dispensing of cheaper products. Over-the-counter products are exempted from controls, but pharmacists cannot benefit from discounts as they do in Europe. [Pg.210]

At inception, the regulations stipulated the maximum professional fees that could be added to the single exit price by various players in the distribution chain. [Pg.213]

The state in turn appealed, and the case went all the way to the Constitutional Court, which ruled that the Department had indeed acted within the law, but ordered the Department to go back to the drawing board and review the professional fees. [Pg.213]
