PRINT procedure

Pa is recommended. The procedure is based on the fact that DNT is practically insol in cold coned soln of Na su fite(known as sellite), while TNT is very sol. As soly of DNT in CCl4 is ca 3.5% and of TNT only 0.74%, this treatment will dissolve the bulk of DNT, leaving a large... 

In general, any microarray printer could be used to print the arrays. The printing procedures can be carried out at room temperature providing the source plate is kept at 4°C and the atmosphere in the print chamber is humidified. However, preferably the printing device itself should also be cooled.

The printing process can be separated into two parts fabrication of the stamp and use of this stamp to pattern features defined by the relief on its surface. These two processes are typically quite different, although it is possible in some cases to use patterns generated by a stamp to produce a replica of that stamp. The structure from which the stamp is derived, which is known as the master , can be fabricated with any technique that is capable of producing well-defined patterns of surface relief. This master can then be used directly as the stamp, or it can be used to produce stamps via molding or printing procedures.

Reading Words into the Program Subroutine IMAGE and DATA Statements. It is sometimes useful to read an alphanumeric name into a specific location in the program, since it simplifies some of the searching and printing procedures. The normal way to do this in the present version of the code is by a data statement. The data statement should include the name of the location into which the word is to be put, and the characters to be read in, in Hollerith format. 

Security of labelling is of equal importance this is achieved through a rigorous system of controls on the text of the label, on printing procedures and on receipt verification, storage, issue, usage and return to stock of the printed material. 

In general, any microarray printer could be used to print the arrays and the printing procedures described below can typically be carried out at room temperature, preferably with the atmosphere in the print chamber humidified to ca. 50% to reduce evaporation rates. If necessary, either the print bed or the entire the printing device could be cooled to 4°C however, we have typically found that this provides little benefit in terms of protein activity on the resultant arrays. Here we describe one specific set of parameters which work well on streptavidin-coated glass microarray slides at room temperature using a Genetix QArray II robot equipped with 16 x 300 mm tipped solid pins (Figs. 6 and 7 see Notes 7-12) ...
