Pre-run rinsing

FIGURE 3 Schematic representation of a capiiiary conditioning routine performed prior to each injection of a sampie soiution in CE (pre-run rinsing) to guarantee optimal performance. [Pg.72]

When developing methods for QC, it has been demonstrated that a suitable pre-run rinse step is fundamental to guarantee a consistent performance. The proposed pre-run capillary rinse routine has shown to result in robust and reliable CE methods that can withstand the requirements of a QC lab. Because of many different variables affecting the outcome of a CE method, it is recommended to apply DOE approaches as much as possible during... [Pg.93]

Rinse the gel sandwich with sterile water (to remove trace amounts of unpolymerized acrylamide) and carefully remove the comb. Assemble the gel sandwich into an electrophoresis tank and All the chambers with lx TBE. Pre-run the gel for 15 min at room temperature before loading the samples. [Pg.100]

An example qualification test for CE—MS involves the simple separation of two small pentapeptides Leu-enkephalin (miz 556) and Met-enkephalin (mlz 589). The sample mixture is composed of 100 pmol/pL of each component in 100% H20,1% acetic acid. The CE column is a 50 im ID x 65—80cm bare fused silica pre-washed with O.IM NaOH and H2O, and then pre-rinsed with the running buffer solution of 100% water, 1% acetic acid. The injection method is pressure at 50mbar for 10 s and an ESI sheath liquid in the ratio of 60/40 IPA/water, 1% acetic acid at 2 tL/min. The spectra are collected every 3 s over a 350—3000 mlz scan. [Pg.54]

Samples of 0.030 in 2024 T3 bare aluminum were pre-cut, to suitable size for mounting in the spectrometer, with a tab to facilitate handling. The metal was subjected to 10 minute etch at 62-63 C in a sodium dichromate-sulfuric acid solution (per Section One, Handbook of Adhesives, Bloomingdale Aerospace Products, Havre de Grace, Maryland 21078), rinsed ten minutes in running, deionized water, and dried one hour at 63 C. One sample was then additionally subjected to the phosphoric acid anodization as outlined in BAG 5555. ... [Pg.415]
