Pravastatin Orange juice

In a study in 14 healthy subjects a total of 800 mL of orange juice, was given over about 3 hours, starting 15 minutes before a 10-mg dose of pravastatin. Orange juice increased the AUC of pravastatin by a modest 1.5-fold, without affecting the maximum pravastatin levels. ... 

Large amounts of grapefruit juice markediy increase the plasma ieveis of iovastatin and simvastatin, but only modestly affect the plasma levels of atorvastatin. Pravastatin seems not to interact The clinical signiflcance of the possible effects of pomegranate juice on rosuvastatin, and orange juice on pravastatin are unclear. 

The interaction of pravastatin with orange juice would be expected to be of little clinical significance in most patients, but this needs confirmation.
