Post project teams

Twelve to eighteen months after the launch, the post launch review occurs. The performance of the project versus expectatiOTis is assessed, along with reasons why events occurred and what lessrms were learned. The team is disbanded and recognized and the project team is terminated. 

Accordingly, each project or a sampling of an organization s projects, ranging from the successful to the mediocre or failed projects, should be immediately followed by a post-mortem analysis to determine what can be learned for the benefit of near-future projects. Lessons learned should be documented and widely shared within the organization. Two important components of this post-project review are input from the client, owner or customer and a meeting of the project team. The client, owner, or customer interaction should precede the team meeting so that the team has the benefit of input form those who were served. 

As an entry-level person, you are not likely to conduct the post-project review with the organization served. But, as a member of a project team, you served internal clients, that is, members of your organization. Occasionally meet one-on-one with them. Ask for a frank evaluation of the services you provided with the goal of doing an even better job the next time. Many individuals are reluctant to volunteer encouragement or criticism, particularly the latter, but will comment on your efforts if you ask. 

By shielding the CBGA during pBGA rework, the project team was able to avoid subsequent opens during post-rework. However, reliability of the CBGA decreased. This was attributed to the adjacent-rework process. This concern led to an additional experiment to better understand the thermal characteristics of adjacent heating. 

Finally, the main benefit as far as competitive business performance is concerned is the potential for reduction in failure costs. Studies using CA very early in the development process of a number of projects have indicated that the potential failure costs were all reduced through an analysis. This is shown in Figure 2.47, where this potential failure cost reduction is shown as the difference between pre-CA and post-CA application by the teams analysing the product designs. 

I published a short paper in a somewhat obscure conference proceedings in which I disagreed with Brush.15 I then approached Worrall to see if he wanted to team-up with me to take a closer look at the issue. At first he did not seem too interested but this changed after I became a post-doctoral fellow at the LSE and continued to press Worrall to work on this project. 

A popular approach for team members to develop a project network diagram is a concept known as the yellow sticky method. This method uses post-it notes, roll-paper, and markers and the team to develop a network diagram. The suggested steps of the yellow sticky method are as follows ...

Their sense of autonomy was increased by the control they had over the content of the projects and by de-emphasis of the relationship between the project and the grade. In HCI, the professor did not apply the grade of the team assignments to individuals grades in the class instead the grades were posted as a House Cup ...
