Portland cement modified with chemical agents

PORTLAND CEMENTS MODIFIED WITH CHEMICAL AGENTS... [Pg.30]

Sulphur cement has been used as a molten bonding agent for centuries. At present, sulphur cement is used to make sulphur cement concrete for repairs and chemically resistant applications. It is modified with carbon and hydrogen in various proportions (not less than 80% of sulphur). Sulphur cement does not contain Portland or hydraulic cement. For mixing with aggregate a temperature between 130°C and 140°C (approximately) is required. The gradation of aggregate should ensure the appropriate volume of voids and minimum cement consumption, usually between 10% and 20% mass. [Pg.72]

Cementitious systems use Portland cement and sand combined with an active waterproofing agent. These systems include metallic (metal oxide), crystalline, chemical additive, and acrylic modified systems. [Pg.392]
