Polymeric Complexes containing Bridging O-Donor Ligands

Exchange interactions in [Cr30(0Ac)6,3H20]Cl,nH20 have been re-evaluated, the contribution of dipole-dipole interactions being discussed,141 and other studies of such interactions in these trinuclear chromium(m) and mixed chromium(m)-iron(m) acetato-clusters have been reported.142

The polymerization of chromium(ni)-containing species in weakly acidic solutions has been studied by dialysis and the formation of polyanions of molecular weight 700-800 identified. These polyanions are suggested to be composed of Cr(OH)2-(H20)4Cr 4+ units arranged in a linear manner.146 

Chromium(m) in lithium phosphate glass appears to be octahedrally co-ordinated and the value of peff (3.2 BM) suggests that some exchange interaction between the metal centres occurs in this medium.147 Polymeric complexes of chromium(m)
