Poly 2-pentamethylene

Blends of Poly(pentamethylene 2,6-naphthalate) and Poly(heptamethy-lene 2,6-naphthalate)... [Pg.264]

Blends of poly(pentamethylene 2,6-naphthalate) with poly(heptamethylene 2,6-naphthalate) have been prepared by solution blending [53]. Blends in a ratio of 1 9 and 9 1 show a single glass transition, which commonly indicates a homogeneous phase. However, intermediate blends exhibit double glass transitions, which suggest the existence of two phases. [Pg.264]

The addition scheme of heat capacities rests on the additivity of the heat capacities of the backbone atom groupings and perhaps also side groups. The discussions in the text have shown that above 50 to 100 K this addition scheme works reasonably well and can be made use of, to estimate heat capacities for the many polymers and also copolymers not measured. The heat capacity of a poly(pentamethylene terephthalate) (PPT) could thus be calculated in the following way ... [Pg.145]
