Plant sources ethnopharmacology

Sources of published ethnomedical information to facilitate the plant selection process may be difficult to find because such data are usually compiled in botanical texts of limited distnbution. Another reliable source of such information are notes made by taxonomists on herbaria samples. Also, useful literature sources are Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Abstracts, published by the Publications Information Directorate, CSIR, Hillside Road, New Delhi 110012, India (5) and journals such as Economic Botany and the Journal of Ethnopharmacology. [Pg.358]
