It is proposed to use the polyesteresterketones in the manufecture of fingers of control rod and cams of brake system, motors buttons in car industry. The piston cap of automobile engine, made from polyesterester-ketone Victrex, went through 1300 h of on-the-road tests. 

A few strokes of the piston in a dry liner may ruin the liner. When the pump does not fill by gravity or when the cylinders have been emptied by standing too long or by replacement of the piston and liner, it is essential to prime the pump through the suction valve cap openings.

It consists of a normal high precision 5 mm NMR tube cut to a length of 60 mm and closed with a piston and a cap made from the machinable ceramic Macor. Most of the autosamplers have a piston metering S3rrmge t)rpe pump to suck the preestablished sample volume into a line and then transfer it to the relatively large loop ( 100 ml) in a standard six-port valve. The simplest autosamplers utilize the special vials with pressuarization caps. A special plunger with a needle, push the cap down to the vial and displace the sample through the needle into the valve loop. Most of the autosamplers are microprocessor controlled and can serve as a master controller for the whole instrument... 

The DUROS consists of a cylindrical titanium chamber (Fig. 13). The original version was approximately 4 mm in diameter and 4 cm in length other sizes can be produced (Fisher, 2002). One end of the cylinder is capped with a semipermeable membrane the other is capped with an orifice designed to permit unidirectional release of the drug. Inside the cylinder, at the membrane end, is a salt tablet, adjacent to which is a piston. The remainder of the cylinder is the reservoir in which the drug is stored. 

Unfortunately, valve disablers have a detrimental effect on the adiabatic compressor efficiency. This means that, even though no gas may be moving through the crank end of a cylinder, the piston is still doing work on the gas inside the crank end of the cylinder. If you would like proof, place your hand on the valve cap on such a disabled cylinder. The high temperature you will feel is wasted compression work going to useless heat. I have measured in the field that, after a cylinder end is completely disabled, it is still converting 20 percent of the former compression work to heat.

Inject the epoxy resin binder by a double-acting hydraulically-driven piston. Start at the lowest nozzle and work upward. At each stage as each nozzle and hole is filled cap the nipple to prevent resin from miming out before it gels [Figure 3.4(c)]. Repeat this method until the entire crack is filled, as indicated when additional resin is refused by the crack.
