Phosphorus complexes synthesis

Quite recently, Ciampolini and coworkers have reported the synthesis of two isomeric mked oxygen-phosphorus macrocycles and the crystal structures of their cobalt complexes. Synthesis of macrocycle 27 was accomplished by condensation of 1,2-bis-(phenylphosphino)ethane dianion with 2,2 -dichlorodiethyl ether in THE. The two isomers of 27 were isolated in 1.5% and 2% yield. The synthesis is formulated in Eq. (6.17), below. [Pg.275]

The most effective catalysts for enantioselective amino acid synthesis are coordination complexes of rhodium(I) with 1,5-cyclooctadiene (COD) and a chiral diphosphine such as (JR,jR)-l,2-bis(o-anisylphenylphosphino)ethane, the so-called DiPAMP ligand. The complex owes its chirality to the presence of the trisubstituted phosphorus atoms (Section 9.12). [Pg.1027]

The analysis of phosphates and phosphonates is a considerably complex task due to the great variety of possible molecular structures. Phosphorus-containing anionics are nearly always available as mixtures dependent on the kind of synthesis carried out. For analytical separation the total amount of phosphorus in the molecule has to be ascertained. Thus, the organic and inorganic phosphorus is transformed to orthophosphoric acid by oxidation. The fusion of the substance is performed by the addition of 2 ml of concentrated sulfuric acid to — 100 mg of the substance. The black residue is then oxidized by a mixture of nitric acid and perchloric acid. The resulting orthophosphate can be determined at 8000 K by atom emission spectroscopy. The thermally excited phosphorus atoms emit a characteristic line at a wavelength of 178.23 nm. The extensity of the radiation is used for quantitative determination of the phosphorus content. [Pg.616]

Co-condensation of Hf and Zr atoms from an electron-gun evaporation device, with P(Me)3 and arenes at 77K gave good yields of the species [M(arene)2P(Me3)]. Metal vapor synthesis led to Fe(i7 -arene)L2 and Fe(i7 -arene)-(i7 -diene), where L is a phosphorus ligand. In addition, complexes of stoichiometry Fe(T) -diene)L3 (where L is again a... [Pg.167]

The diazaphosphane or aminoiminophosphane ligands with a NPN framework are another subclass of cyclophosphazenes. These compounds with both phosphorus in oxidation state (111) [104-110] and (V) [111-112] have been employed in the synthesis of four membered heterocycles and coordination chemistry with group 13 derivatives. Several complexes of trivalent phosphorus derivatives with both aluminum halide and alkyls are known as illustrated for 48 in Scheme 21 [113-119]. The structure determination of 48 confirms the formation of a four membered metallacycle [116, 117],... [Pg.111]
