It is the character of Kennedy s friends rather than his own low personal standard of morality that explains why as a leader of the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee he has come forward as the leading sponsor of federal legalization of marijuana and why he has given his approval to decriminalization of heroin "for experimental purposes." The job of the Kennedy dynasty is to usher in British dope and the criminals who distribute it — through the front door.

The twenty-one day period for self-reporting begins to run when any employee, contractor, or agent has an objectively reasonable basis for believing that a violation has, or may have, occurred. An objectively reasonable basis for belief is measured by a prudent person standard, and is based on what a prudent person with the same information would have concluded. ... 

Clinicians, like everyone else, vary in temperament, resilience and attitude to their own errors. Jenny Firth-Cozens (1997) has found that a tendency to self criticism is predictive of stress this tendency may be rooted in earher relationships, which in turn may find an echo in relationships with senior colleagues. For a highly self critical person, errors and mistakes will he particularly disturbing in serious cases the clinician may enter a vicious downward spiral of anxiety, shame and deteriorating performance. There is a fine balance to be struck between personal high standards and undue self criticism. The high personal standards of excellent clinicians may in fact make them particularly vulnerable to the impact of mistakes. 

A difficult issue is deciding what level of safety is sufficient. It is not possible, or economically possible, to remove all risks for work, travel, recreation, and other activities. Society may set standards on what is acceptable. Individuals may hold personal standards for acceptable risk. Different individuals will not fully agree on standards. Employers may determine what is acceptable for their workplaces and expect people to meet those standards. Standards may vary over time and not be constant. Who pays for protection will also affect the standards of risk. 

Another consideration of formulators is that consumers, as stated above, do not view products as being as neatly compartmentalized as manufactmers do. When a consumer wishes to clean a dirty bathtub, for example, they may have tried a cleanser, a dilutable APC, and a specialty spray soap scum ranover to do the job. All of these products are competing for the same job—cleaning soap scum from the bathtub surface. The consumer may use any or all of them to get the job done, according to their own personal standard of cleanliness, desire to apply elbow grease, and evaluation of the surface condition (new or worn, sensitive or impervious, etc.). 

Therefore, employees receive their standards from their leaders. Top management must personally direct the Zero Defects program. To gain the benefits of Zero Defects, you must make a personal commitment to improve your management system. You must want it. The first step is to make the attitude of Zero Defects your personal standard [1], and to tell your employees. They will perform to the requirements (standards) given to them. 

Some commenters agreed that OJT by a certified renovator is sufficient for training workers. One commenter stated that as long as a specific person is designated to oversee the job, there is no need for all workers onsite to have formal training.
