Polymer-modified electrodes are prepared either by casting polymer solution on the solid electrode surface and allowing the solvent to evaporate or by electropolymerization of a monomer [13], The polymer film is either an electronic insulator, but an ionic conductor, or a mixed electronic and ionic conductor.
