Peculiarities in Aerosol Transportation of Short-lived Activities

2 Peculiarities in Aerosol Transportation of Short-lived Activities [Pg.82]

Taking into account the flow rates, tube diameters and other parameters of real experiments, provided that the surface is smooth, the channel is straight and temperature gradients are absent, the diffusion of the aerosol particulates of optimal or larger size can be neglected. Then the stream can be seen as independent thin annular layers, which move with different velocities according to the parabolic law so they pass the channel in different times. As a result, there can be envisaged some nontrivial peculiarities [46]. Some of them are discussed below. [Pg.82]

1 Internal Chromatogram and Elution Curve of Aerosol Spike [Pg.82]

The situation strongly changes when the particulates are injected right along the tube axis or, on the other hand, just released from the wall. In the first case they are [Pg.82]
