According to Mobius [Mobius, 1986], ]q is the oxygen permeation flux density and Jq is the specific oxygen permeability (in mol.cm-i.s-i). 

According to equation 16, in case of negligible effect of the surface exchange rate, the oxygen permeation flux density is proportional to [InCP / )], and the sp>ecific oxygen permeability Jq is independent of the membrane thickness [Kharton et al., 1999]. 

The applicability of oxygen membrane materials depends essentially on their oxygen permeation fluxes. The dependence of the flux density j02 on the oxygen pressure difference across the membrane of thickness L can be calculated by the using of the measured total conductivity o and calculated values Oi for the ion conductivity. 

The oxygen-permeation property was measured within the temperature range of 800—1000 °C under Ar-10%CH4 (20 sccm)/air gradients. The oxygen flux density was multiplied by a thickness of L for comparison.
