Other oxygen ligands

Two mononuclear complexes with phosphate ligands have been reported [Mn(H20)6]-[Mn(ATP)2] 10H2O 2DPA (135) where ATP = adenasine-5 -triphosphate and DPA = 2,2 -dipyridylanine and [Mn(Ph2P(0)NP(0)Ph2)3] CH2Cl2 (136).  [Pg.56]

The first of these types is most familiarly represented by the hexaaquo ion which is present in acidic aqueous solutions and, in the solid state, in the alum CsTi(S04)2.12H20. In fact few other neutral ligands besides water form a [TiLg] + complex. Urea is one of these few and [Ti(OCN2H4)g]l3, in which the urea ligands coordinate to the titanium via their oxygen atoms, is one of the compounds of titanium(III) most resistant to oxidation. [Pg.970]

Scheme 10.31 Reaction cycle of KG-dependent (KG = a-keto-glutarate) enzymes. Metal ligands from protein side chains and water are omitted for clarity. One of the oxygens of O2 is incorporated into succinate. The other oxygen is either incorporated into the product or reduced to water depending on the nature of the reaction.
