Organization Staff

Staff members are the contact persons of WHO and their action will be the basis upon which the public will judge the organization. Staff must exhibit exemplary behaviour at all times. 

It would be irresponsible to focus solely on research and development, while ignoring potentially simpler, faster, or less expensive mechanisms, such as organization, staff, training, and procurement. All health establishments must be surveyed and evaluated for the tasks of being prepared and responding adequately to potential terrorist violence. Not only should a special attention be paid to supplies of antidotes, drugs, ventilators, personal protective equipment and decontamination capacity, but the spotlight must also be fixed on an insufficient familiarity of medical stuff with the acute effects and treatment of chemical weapons. 

At the first echelons of care the organic staff is small, and dedicated personnel are not available to decontaminate casualties. Personnel from the supported unit must be assigned to the MTF for this purpose, to allow all medical care providers to care for casualties. These augmentees should be identified early and be thoroughly trained for these tasks. To most effectively decontaminate a patient on a litter, three—or possibly two—people are needed. The actual size of the augmented decontamination staff needed, however, will be severalfold larger than this number because the personnel will need rest periods, the frequency and duration of which will depend on the ambient temperature. 

Procedural Pharmaceutical manufacturer Pharmaceutical organization staff who use electronic record/electronic signature systems must have the education, training and experience to perform their assigned tasks. 

The philosophy of fire protection is based fundamentally on the prevention of fire by choice of materials and by minimization of inventory of incendiary material. Once a fire occurs (going on in the scenario), the second measure is to prevent the spread of fire by the design of fire sectors and the use of fire-resistant barriers. Thirdly, one has to detect the fire, usually by means of a fire alarm system. Finally, no doubt, one needs organization, staff, and equipment for fire extinguishing by installed and mobile means. 

A safety and health program must clearly identify who is responsible for what. Assignment of responsibility is normally a part of policy and procedures. Assigning responsibility must include the role for line elements of the organization, staff elements and special committees or other special units.
