Control order in tracking tasks is important. Order applies to the way the device or system responds to a movement of the control. In one display, the movement of the display may be small in comparison to the movement of the control. This is low order tracking. In another display, a small control movement may produce a large display movement. This is higher order tracking. Table 33-6 characterizes the terminology and functions of control order.

As already described, NOC is considered as the template having the exclusive surface of a certain nano/micro structure. Namely, the OH groups together with the neighboring hydrophobic sites tend to be oriented as molecular tracks only in one direction across the entire NOC surface. These amphiphilic ordering tracks on the NOC surface were expected to induce an epitaxial deposition of substances such as organic and inorganic compounds. This is a unique application of NOC with a specific surface property to induce other substances to be oriented. 

More than one effect can be used at a time on a single track, bus, or project. FX are applied in a particular order in an FX Chain. The order of plug-ins can be important in the final sound. Some FX belong very late in the chain (such as EQ and Reverb) and some earlier (Compression). Others shonld be used in a particular order. Track FX plug-ins are usually applied in this order Compression, Noise Gate, and, finally, EQ. This is not a hard and fast mle, and there may be creative reasons why you d want to alter this sequence. FX chains and ordering are discnssed in more detail in the next chapter.

Order Tracking enables a customer trace his/her orders. It is a common expectation in the logistics of parcel services (UPS and FedEx, for example). The supplier and customer can obtain real-time information on the position of shipments in the network that enable fast and dedicated interventions in case of any problem. 

Lead time Total order cycle time occurring from the arrival of a customer order to the receipt of goods or cycle time of the single activities (order transmission, order processing, order composition, order transfer to the production plant, article production, warehouse delivery, final delivery to the customer) Response time, to order tracking requests, etc. 

Order visibility is important in the context of manufacturer storage, because two stages in the supply chain are involved in every customer order. Failure to provide this capability is likely to have a significant negative effect on customer satisfaction. Order tracking, however, becomes harder to implement in a drop-ship system because it requires complete integration of information systems at both the retailer and the manufacturer.
