This section explains the benefits of online and traditional paper applications. You will learn the potential pitfalls of each, and how to avoid them, as well as tips to ensure your application looks its best, no matter which submission method you choose. 

Automatization of all stages of the analytical process is a trend that can be discerned in the development of modern analytical methods for chemical manufacture, to various extents depending on reliability and cost-benefit considerations. Among the elements of reliability one counts conformity of the accuracy and precision of the method to the specifications of the manufacturing process, stability of the analytical system and closeness to real-time analysis. The latter is a requirement for feedback into automatic process-control systems. Since the investment in equipment for automatic online analysis may be high, this is frequently replaced by monitoring a property that is easy and inexpensive to measure and correlating that property with the analyte of interest. Such compromise is usually accompanied by a collection of samples that are sent to the analytical laboratory for determination, possibly at a lower cost. 

The analytical strategy for a continuous process is necessarily predominantly online, as summarised in Figure 8.3. However, the correlations between continuous process development and online analysis on the one hand and batch process development and off-line analysis on the other are not simple. For example, many aspects of batch process development would benefit from the availability of online analysis and monitoring. Similarly, some of the early development stages of a continuous process will utilise data from batch (i.e. non-continuous) experiments.

Describes gun laws, gun use, and homicide and suicide rates around the world and includes charts. The site argues that peaceful, well-ordered societies do not need gun laws to be that way and that violent, disordered societies do not benefit from gun laws.

The results of this survey of 36 states describe how they control Medicaid costs for prescription drugs. Some states put limits on the number of prescriptions or refills that beneficiaries may receive, but others are developing policies that do not deny benefits. They instead require clinical justification for the additional drugs. This report discusses these and other policies in some detail.

The site provides a salary range (for base pay), the median salary, and additional information on a total compensahon package (which would include the dollar value of possible bonuses, benefits—including Social Security, 401 (k)/403(b), disability, healthcare, pension, and time off—and the net paycheck eshmate), as well as other useful information.

MedlinePlus, an online resource from the National Library of Medicine, states that a person can even become addicted to sibutramine. It s extremely important that patients take this medication exactly as their doctor tells them, and for no longer than a doctor instructs. As with any drug, the risks of sibutramine may outweigh the benefits for many people. It s no simple fix. 

This application illustrates that integrated, high fidelity, multiscale models from molecular level to site-wide complex can be deployed in nonideal online environments to deliver benefits and insight that cannot be elucidated with simpler, less rigorous, more empirical models.
