Oligo-isoadenylate Dependent Nuclease Activity of Factor F 

Studies of the relation between endonuclease F and exonuclease D should throw light on the function of oligo-isoadenylate in interferon-treated cells. 

Extracts from cells treated with interferon show in many cases a reduced ability to translate exogenous mRNAs (25), even in the absence of dsRNA. Analysis of the products shows that incomplete polypeptide chains are formed (24) and the defect can be corrected by addition of tRNA (25-26).
