Notepad screen

Notepad. Each menu in Risk Assistant has an associated Notepad screen. By pressing a function key, the user can call up the notepad for the menu, and use it to explain important features of his or her assessment, or the reasons underlying the selection of particular values. 

A program window is a rectangular area created on the screen when an application is opened within Windows. This window can have a number of different forms, but most windows include at least a few basic elements. Figure 12.17 shows the Control box. Title bar. Minimize button. Restore button, Close button, and resizable border in a text editor called Notepad (NOTEPAD. EXE) that has all of the basic window elements and little else ... 

Restored A restored window is one that can be used interactively and is identical in function to a maximized window, with the simple difference that it does not necessarily take up the entire screen. Restored windows can be very small, or they can take up almost as much space as maximized windows. Generally, how large the restored window becomes is the user s choice. Restored windows display a restore box (the middle button in the upper-right corner) with a single rectangle in it this is used to maximize the window. Restored windows have a border. Figure 12.19 shows an example of Notepad in a restored state. 

The most inportant item in the Results Summary is the line that hopefully says, Calculations were conpleted normally. If it says an5 ng else, you may have a problem To scroll through the results, use the or buttons near the top of the screen, bracketing the word results. If you want to see the input, use the menu to scroll to input. Another useful way to look at results is to go to the tool bar and click on View, then scroll to the bottom and click on Report, then in the window click on the box next to the block you want to see the report for and then click on OK. This report can be printed using the file column in Notepad. By scrolling in the window labeled Display report for, you can obtain other reports—Streams is very useful.
