Normal tearing down

After a normal tearing down of hexagons s from G the resulting coronoid has a Kekule structure M such that both C and C are M-alternating cycles where M = M - e, e2). [Pg.255]

In both subcases (Subcase 3.1 and Subcase 3.2) it was demonstrated that a coronoid G is generated from G by a normal tearing down so that both the outer and inner perimeters of G are M —alternating cycles for some Kekule structure M of G. Repeat the argument for G. Eventually one will arrive at a coronoid with a hexagon of mode L2 or A2, whereby the case is reduced to Case 1. Thus the proof of sufficiency is completed. [Pg.257]

The NEXT DAY WAS the much-anticipated fourth of March. After we made breakfast we did not tear down our fire as we normally would have done. Instead we began to brew the carefully shredded Banisteriopsis caapi vines in several gallons of spring water. The... [Pg.79]

Normally, when a commercial business goes away, the plant operations, employment, and culture immediately dies with the layoffs at the site. The physical site is turned over to other organizations (construction and destruction organizations) to eliminate the previous environment liabilities and tear down or reuse the plant. The production culture is physically dislocated from the site and a project culture, one that generates a start, schedule, and finish, is superimposed on only the physical assets of the site. [Pg.607]

Hence a regular addition is associated with the mode Li, L2, A2,13 or i/5. The opposite process of a normal (resp. regular) addition is a normal (resp. regular) tearing down. [Pg.235]

It is evident that the tearing down or building up of regular single coronoids as described above, passes exclusively through normal benzenoids and regular coronoids in every step. [Pg.253]

No Firelight made the Maestro s tears shine like diamonds as he watched the paper bum. You re no thief That was a cleverly set trap, Alfeo. Karagounis was dispensable. Even if the Ten did not already know about him, you had exposed him. So his demon used his death as a powerful charge of evil to break down your normal defenses, like setting off a mine under a castle wall. Your fiend had betrayed you to thechaush s demon, and it managed to open a portal to you, so you were vulnerable. You were bewitched ... [Pg.123]

If only the front of the book has come away, it can be secured by the insertion of a strip of jaconet the length of the book and an inch or so wide and folded down the middle, the fold being placed close to the joint. This will withstand normal occasional use but cannot be expected to stand up to heavy everyday wear and tear on the reference shelves. [Pg.17]

Under normal conditions the various components of the tear film are continually produced in sufficient quantity, not only to cover the ocular surfece but also to supply a reservoir of tears that is stored at the margin of the upper and lower eyelids. The movement of the upper eyelid distributes this reservoir, called the tear river or tear meniscus, during blinking or voluntary lid closure. As the tear film thins and breaks up, the blink reflex is stimulated. The down-phase of each blink compresses the superficial lipid layer, and the up-phase redistributes the lipid layer, which remains in a fairly dynamic state well after the completion of the blink. Each time the eyelid reopens, a new tear film layer is spread across the ocular surfece. The blink itself may also augment meibomian gland expression. [Pg.417]

In terms of amount used, the most important function of amino acids is to provide building blocks for the synthesis of proteins in the body. It is estimated that about 75% of amino acid utilization in a normal, healthy adult is for this function. The maintenance of body proteins must occur constantly in the body because tissue proteins break down regularly from normal wear and tear, as well as from diseases and injuries. The amino acids used in this maintenance come from proteins that are eaten and hydrolyzed during digestion, from the body s own degraded tissue, and from the synthesis in the liver of certain amino acids. The amino acids from these three sources constitute what is called the amino acid pool of the body. This cellular supply of amino acids is constantly being restocked to allow the synthesis of new proteins and other necessary metabolic processes to take place as needed. [Pg.456]
