Wahrend des zweiten Weltkrieges setzte man in USA den Explosiv-stoff als Ersatz fur Nitroglycerin in Corditen ein. Diese Pulver fuhrten den Namen Albanite.

He found that if recently produced nitroglycerine is mixed with wood meal or pulverized glass and cooled to the temperature of —40°C, while being stirred vigorously, the labile form is produced.
