Ternary and Quaternary Niobium Arsenide ZintI Phases... 

Niobium Arsenide, NbAs2, has been prepared 6 by heating the elements together in a sealed tube at 500° C. The product, the composition of which corresponded more exactly with NbAs jg, had density 7-28 at 25° C. 

The first alkali metal-niobium-arsenic compounds were synthesized by accident while attempting the synthesis of alkali-metal main-group arsenides at relatively high temperature. It turns out that niobium and tantalum containers react readily... 

The methods involving dithiocarbamates were used for determining copper in plant materials [97], foods [98,99], water [100-103], sewage [104,105], aluminium alloys and environmental samples [106], cast iron and steel [22,107,108], niobium and tantalum [109], gallium arsenide [110], and crude oil [111]. 

Nitrides, Phosphides, Arsenides, and Related Compounds. The presence of imperfections in the metal sub-lattice of cubic tantalum nitride indicated by neutron diffraction experiments has been confirmed by density measurements the results are consistent with the stoicheiometry Tao.saN. The phase diagram of the Ta-N system has been investigated. The dissociation pressure of non-stoicheiometric niobium mononitride has been measured,and the structures of Nb32N3, Ni2Ta4N, " TagN, and TaagNj have been determined.
