Nickel aluminium containing

Silver, brass, aluminium, steel, copper, nickel can cause decomposition at elevated temperatures. Magnesium alloys and aluminium containing >2% magnesium. Natural rubber... [Pg.189]

Heating moist Raney nickel alloy containing 20% aluminium in an autoclave under hydrogen caused the aluminium and water to interact explosively, generating 1 k bar pressure of hydrogen. [Pg.41]

Kooli, F., Rives, V. and Ulibarri, M. A. (1995). Preparation and study of decavanadate-pillared hydrotalcite-like anionic clays containing transition metal cations in the layers. 1. Samples containing nickel-aluminium prepared by anionic exchange and reconstruction. Inorg. Chem. 34, 5114. [Pg.323]

Patronite is a sulfide of vanadium as associated with pyrite and a carbonaceous substance which contains much free Knifin. It varies widely in composition, but a typical analysis gives vanadium sulfide 35 per cent, iron pyrite 5 per cent, free sulfur 35 per cent, and silica 15 per cent, with small amounts of molybdenum, nickel, aluminium, calcium, etc. It is found in the Andos Mountains, especially in Peru. [Pg.206]

Nickel aluminides containing more than 25 at.% A1 undergo severe attack by rapid internal oxidation of aluminium. y -NijAl shows no internal oxidation but internal sulfides are formed. [Pg.98]

Bronze is essentially an alloy of copper and tin, but may also contain additional elements such as zinc and phosphorus. Bronzes containing copper, tin and phosphorus are known as phosphor bronze, while those containing copper, tin and zinc are known as gunmetal. A wide range of bronzes with additional alloying elements are available for a wide range of applications. These materials include aluminium bronze, nickel aluminium bronze and manganese bronze. [Pg.221]

Raney nickel is a finely powdered nickel-aluminium alloy that contains hydrogen absorbed onto the surface... [Pg.152]

Polymers containing 90-98% of a c 5-1,4-structure can be produced using Ziegler-Natta catalyst systems based on titanium, cobalt or nickel compounds in conjuction with reducing agents such as aluminium alkyls or alkyl halides. Useful rubbers may also be obtained by using lithium alkyl catalysts but in which the cis content is as low as 44%. [Pg.290]
