Prodded into action by the leaps and bounds of modem technology, the venerable astronomy has rediscovered the enthusiasm of its youth. Today, there is revolution in the air. The exponential growth of astronomical discovery in modern times can be directly correlated with the availability of new detection methods and instrumentation. The science of the sky has become an industry and the great astronomers appear as relics in a landscape completely awash with electronics and data processing.

Fortunately, there are now better ways to assess the inner state of our bodies cameras that make x-ray seem almost like a relic of the days of saddlebag doctors. These new devices rely on the dramatic advances in solid-state electronics and computer technology and on vastly improved knowledge of sound waves, infrared sources, the protons in the nuclei of hydrogen atoms, radio waves, magnetism, and in many applications, superconductivity.

In the not too distant future, Insulin intake will become even easier. Thanks to a new insulin inhaler, by Generex, insulin injections may become relics of the past. The inhaler sprays insulin out into the mouth like a mist, which coats the membranes of the mouth, throat and tongue. The insulin then passes quickly through the membranes into the bloodstream. The new insulin inhaler is in phase two clinical trials. If all goes well, the Food and Drug Administration could put it on a fast track for approval, making it available on the market in less than two years. 

Only one species is attributed to the ancient relic family Himantrandaceae, but a large number of alkaloids have been isolated from it by a Sydney University group [44, 45]. The species, now known as Galbulimima belgraveana, occurrs in both New Guinea and north Queensland, and its content of alkaloids is very variable. They are, as might be expected, quite different in structure from any others, and some of the diverse types are represented by himbacine (25), himandridine (26) and himbadine (27).
