Nausea nose, runny

Overexposure effects Alpha-chloroacetophenone vapors may cause a tingling or runny nose, burning and/or pain of the eyes, blurred vision, and tears. Burning in the chest, difficult breathing, and nausea may also occur as well as skin irritation, rash, or burns. 

By inhalation Rhinorrhea (runny nose), nasal congestion, tightness in chest, wheezing, salivation, nausea, vomiting... 

Sudden headache, dimness of vision (someone you re looking at will have pinpointed pupils), runny nose, excessive saliva or drooling, difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, nausea, stomach cramps and twitching of exposed skin where a liquid just got on you. 

SYMPTOMS - Pinpoint pupils, dim vision, runny nose, tightness in chest, nausea, convulsions, coma, and respiratory failure.

Death usually occurs in from 1 to 10 minutes, depending on the concentration. Non-lethal doses are usually followed by complete recovery in from 1 to 3 days. However, doses are cumulative if received over a period of a few days. 

SYMPTOMS - Dim vision, pinpoint pupils (may not occur from skin absorption), runny nose, tightness of chest, sweating, muscular twitching nausea, vomiting, weakness and coma. Vapor inhalation or absorption of vapor through the eyes causes quickest onset of symptoms. Skin absorption generally takes about 10 minutes. 

Symptoms of intoxication are as follows when an individual is exposed to low amounts of a nerve agent, the initial symptoms include runny nose, contraction of the pupils, miosis, deterioration of visual accommodation, headache, slurred speech, nausea, hallucination, pronounced chest pain, and an increase in the production of saliva (muscarinic central and peripheral symptoms). At higher doses of a nerve agent the aforementioned symptoms are more pronoimced. Coughing and breathing problems also occur. The individual then may begin to experience convulsions (nicotinic symptoms) and a subsequent disturbed ventilation, coma, and death. At even higher doses an exposed individual would almost immediately go into convulsions and die from ventilation and cardiovascular failure because of the... 

Occupational exposure to 2-butoxyetlianol usually involves co-exposure to other solvents and chemicals. In several NIOSH Health Hazard Evaluations, effects reported by workers included eye, nose, and throat irritation coughing runny nose headache dizziness lightheadedness and nausea. Since personal breathing zone and workplace air samples analyzed for solvents and other chemicals (such as toluene, xylene, methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, styrene) along with 2-butoxyethanoI indicated that exposure levels for each chemical were below the NIOSH, ACGIH, and OSHA criteria, NIOSH concluded that the effects were probably due to the additive combination of the solvents.
