Air-Flow Control Process operating reqmrements and weather conditions are considered in determining the method of controlling air flow. The most common methods include simple on-off control, on-off step control (in the case of multiple-driver units), two-speed-motor control, variable-speed drivers, controllable fan pitch, manually or automatically adjustable louvers, and air recirculation. [Pg.1080]

The low speed gear shaft and the housing must be designed to permit installation of a stub shaft for a torsiograph unit if an operational problem occurs. API 613 gives the details of the shaft end requirements for attaching a torsiograph. This should be done on all synchronous motor compressors and on multiple driver or multiple compressor case trains. [Pg.331]

The wire net is the most commonly used net type. When there are multiple drivers driving a wire net, the outputs of the drivers are shorted together. Here is an example. [Pg.8]

The wor nets and wand nets are used when multiple driver resolution needs to be performed using or-logic and and-logic respectively. Upon synthesis, multiple drivers of such a net are connected together by an or gate (for a wor net) and by an and gate (for a wand net). Here is an example that shows this effect. [Pg.8]

When there are multiple drivers on a net, a resolution function is needed to resolve the final value on the net. In VHDL, one can create resolution functions and associate it with a datatype or a signal object. std ulogic is an example of an unresolved datatype, while stdjogic is an example of a resolved datatype. The resolution function is used to figure out the final value on a signal when there are more than one driver on it. In Verilog, one can t have user defined resolution functions. Instead one can use net types with built in resolution functions (pre-defined in Verilog) such as wand, wor, and so on. [Pg.44]

After synthesis, execute the check design command. Analyze the results to make sure there is no unused logic in the design. Useful details about the design such as unconnected ports, feedthroughs, and multiple drivers are provided by this command. [Pg.118]

The business case for the sustainabUity initiatives of a company depends on a variety of issues including industry, supply chain structure, stakeholder expectatiOTis, and organizational culture. Sustainability practices that respond to multiple drivers have the potential to maximize the value of the company. [Pg.275]

A signal widi multiple drivers must be of a type that can be resolved. [Pg.242]

When synthesized, multiple drivers for one signal are connected together in one of three ways ... [Pg.242]

The output of the adder is connected to the internal bus D. As the multiplier can also drive this bus, the output must be made three state. Only when the ADD, SUB or CMP instruction signals are active should the result be placed on the bus. The use of three-state logic to handle signals with multiple drivers was introduced in Chapter 7. [Pg.287]

There are multiple drivers of our quest to obtain an improved understanding of particle-respiratoiy tract interactions. One of these is the need to devise eontrol strategies that will limit the potential for human disease from airborne materials. Another motivation is the desire to simply expand the boundaries of what is known about particles and the respiratory tract, a motivation grounded in seien-tific curiosity or our desire to explore the unknown. [Pg.6]
