The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) is a membership-based non-profit research and educational organization. We assist scientists to design, fund, obtain approval for and report on studies into the healing and spiritual potentials of MDMA, psychedelic drugs and marijuana.

More recently, Doblin has founded the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, or MAPS, which promotes and sponsors scientific research into psychedelics. As well, he has recently authored a follow-up study to Leary, Alpert, and Metzner s Good Friday Experiment, an early investigation into the relationship between psychedelic and religious experience. 

Rick Doblin earned his Ph.D. in public policy from Harvard University s Kennedy School of Government. He is the founder and president of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS, www.maps.org), a nonprofit research and educational organization. MAPS s goal is to help develop legal contexts for the beneficial uses of psychedelics and marijuana.
