Model proteins medical applications

For medical applications the biocompatibility of the model proteins must, of course, be established this has been done for three basic compositions, but verification of nontoxicity must be established for each specific composition designed for a particular human or veterinarian use. 

Having demonstrated production of designed protein-based polymers, the next issue is one of achieving purification adequate for the intended application. Applications of computer simulations in the areas related to medical problems are numerous and have been financed by both public and private sources. Many diseases have well-defined etiology, related to abnormalities in a protein structure, point mutations, etc. Such molecular diseases are popular objects of the theoretical modeling (Papaleo and Invemizzi 2011).
