Blood concentrations of benzene following inhalation exposure in mice and rats were adequately predicted. Bone marrow concentrations of benzene following subcutaneous injection in mice and inhalation exposure in rats were accurately predicted, as were blood concentrations of benzene in rats following intraperitoneal injection. For humans, the model slightly overestimated the data for benzene in expired air at the low concentration of 5 ppm. For the mid concentration of 25 ppm, excellent fit was obtained from the model for both benzene in expired air and blood benzene levels. Model agreement for expired benzene was also good at concentrations of 57 and 99 ppm. The model was also accurate in predicting the amount of phenol in the urine after a 5-hour exposure to 31.3 or 47 ppm. 

Table IX also catalogs the values of the several multifiber composites predicted by the model. Agreement with the property values actually obtained appears to be good tensile strength 4%, impact strength 6%, and modulus 12%. A Fortran program for the model appears in Figure 5.

Figure 8B illustrates the potential distribution of B. anthracis in 2050. Although the south-to-north corridor is still visible, there is an apparent gap in northern Texas, with more loss of spore-promoting habitat in southernmost Texas. To illustrate this better, I recoded presence and absence for both the current-day prediction and the future projection using the classification. I selected a threshold of six or more model agreement from the best subset of each time period and recoded all values of six or more to a score of 1 to define presence in the current-day models and a score of 4 in the future models. In the current-day model, values of five or less were scored as a zero ... 

Unless it receives a request for an exclusive license, PHS tries to negotiate nonexclusive commercialization licenses for inventions developed in its laboratories. Under such an agreement, PHS can license a single invention to more than one party. For both exclusive and nonexclusive licenses, PHS has developed a model agreement that is the basis for negotiations between it and the potential licensee. 

How to validate models Agreement is needed on what level of validation is needed. Should the overall outputs be validated, or is it more important to validate individual processes. Is it enough to demonstrate that the model is conservative, or should it reproduce real population dynamics accurately ...

The unusual variation of a above 400 C (Fig. 5) supports the validity of the proposed model. Agreement of e q>erimental results with calculated values [10] for the case of the usual intrinsic conduction is obtained only on the assumption that the electron mobility in CrSi2 is lower by a factor of a hundred than the hole mobility. This assumption means, in practice, that the electrons do not contribute to the transport effects, i.e., it supports the model we have proposed.
