Mixing variation

For several polymers, replotting of CO2 solubilities against activity, rather than pressure, nearly removes the temperature ctepei ence of the isotherms above their inflection. This result indicates a near-zero heat of mixing variation of CO2 activity with temperature apparently accounts for most of the temperature dependence of the isotherms plotted vs pressure.. [Pg.222]

Plating solutions for continuous strip, caHed electrogalvanizing, sheet, and wire are usuaHy simple zinc sulfate solutions, although chloride and mixed variations have found some use. A typical bath for strip may contain 350 g/L zinc sulfate heptahydrate and 30 g/L ammonium sulfate. Baths are operated at pH 3.0—4.5, 40—55°C, at currents of 1000—6000 A/m. Zinc thickness is often 0.3—4.3 am. A wide variety of additives have been used to produce some grain refinement, eg, dextrin, Hcorice, glucose, and gelatin. Wire plating, which may have 13—130 am zinc plate, has been plated in more acidic zinc sulfate... [Pg.164]

However, from the graph in Fig. 4 it is also evident that even using the same adhesive mix, variations in the penetration behavior occur. This is indicated by the bars showing the standard deviations of AP nevertheless, a statistically significant difference in AP is shown between the three adhesive types used in the investigations. [Pg.104]

Flexibility The ability to change or react with little penalty in time, effort, cost, or performance. Categories of flexibility include product mix variation, volume variations, labor flexibility, design-change flexibility, and routing flexibility. (David Upton, California Management Review)... [Pg.530]

The average weight and the uniformity of mass are indicators for the weight distribution of the powder over the capsules. The weight distribution depends on the flowability of the powder, the completeness of filUng and the operator s precision. However, it does not give information on the active substance content per capsule. Due to mixing variation there will never be a perfect content uniformity. [Pg.65]

The mixing variation is low when the distribution of the active substances in the excipients is as homogeneous as possible and when this homogeneity is maintained during filling. [Pg.716]

Before embarking upon sophisticated quantum-chemical calculations, it is desirable to shed some light on the electronic structures of endohedral complexes using approximate techniques. An approach that is particularly suitable for such a purpose is based on a mixed variational-perturbative expression for the wavefunction of an inclusion complex HG in its electronic ground state... [Pg.277]
