Fig. 2. Chart summarizing the stoichiometry of saddle dolomite. The dashed vertical line indicates stoichiometric dolomite. Data from Wojcik et al. (1992) on saddle dolomite and ankerite are plotted in the limestone and sandstone categories, rather than the mixed category (see Table 1). Data published by Searl Fallick (1990) could not be included because of ambiguous data identification. Fig. 2. Chart summarizing the stoichiometry of saddle dolomite. Fig. 3. Compilation of iron and manganese concentrations in saddle dolomite (note logarithmic scale). Same key as in Fig. 2. The dashed line marks the boundary between Fe-dolomite and ankerite according to Deer et al. (1992). Some studies provide Fe and Mn concentrations (reported as wt% or ppm) but lack Ca and Mg data. To achieve consistent presentation, Fe and Mn values were recalculated as mol% (Fe, Mn)C03, assuming a dolomite composition of 50 mol% CaC03 (marked by an asterisk). Excess Ca results in systematically low (Fe,Mn)C03 values, but the error is negligible. Data from Wojcik et al. Other mixed categories, for the roost part. Mostly Ca-rich roaccrals (see text). [Pg.250]

The graphical representation of a pole without space distribution is quite simple two kinds are to be considered a first one when only one system property is present, consisting of three fundamental poles (see Graph 4.1) and a second kind of mixed categories when two system properties are present (see Graph 4.2),... [Pg.52]

Lymphatic malformations (formerly known as cystic hygroma or lymphangiomas) are maldevdopments of the various components of the lymphatic system. They are localized malformations affecting the various layers of the subcutaneous tissue and exhibit low-flow characteristics. Tbey are usually multiloculated and are divided into microcystic (cysts <2 cm in diameter), macrocystic, and mixed categories. [Pg.13]

Mixed categories such as mixed sorted papers and boards (1.02). [Pg.31]

Two broad mixing categories are polymer blends and particulate mixing. Of these, two difficult mixing areas include the immiscible polymer blends and nano particulate mixing. [Pg.1085]

U-V-P schemes belong to the general category of mixed finite element techniques (Zienkiewicz and Taylor, 1994). In these techniques both velocity and pressure in the governing equations of incompressible flow are regarded as primitive variables and are discretized as unknowns. The method is named after its most commonly used two-dimensional Cartesian version in which U, V and P represent velocity components and pressure, respectively. To describe this scheme we consider the governing equations of incompressible non-Newtonian flow (Equations (1.1) and (1.4), Chapter 1) expressed as... [Pg.72]

Dietary fibers are used in several food categories, including breakfast cereals, pasta, snack foods, and baked goods, as well as some pharmaceutical categories such as enteral nutritionals, bulk laxatives, and diet beverage mixes (31). The common dietary fiber additives and their sources are given (32). [Pg.438]
