Mind Genomics

Over the past three decades it seems clear that Mind Genomics , the science of experimental design of ideas, works in practice. When deployed in a structured manner, experimental design provides insights about the people whose mental processes lie at the center of interest. 

In the future, the methods introduced here will be applied around the world, with this work replicated in many coimtries and on almost all continents. Changes in climate, weather patterns, war, uprisings and revolutions will continue to remake the planet. The standardized methods of EMPATHY and EXPERIMENTt using applied computer research tools like Mind Genomics, IdeaMap .net will allow... 

The goal is to discover things we never knew or expected, and to see relationships and connections among the elements, whether previously suspected or not. It follows that this process is not driven by hypothesis and should be as model-independent as possible. We should use the unprecedented experimental opportunities that the genome sequences provide to take a fresh, comprehensive and open-minded look at every question in biology. If we succeed, we can expect that many of the new models that emerge will defy conventional wisdom , (Brown and Botstein, 1999).

The question of whether proteins originate from random sequences of amino acids was addressed in many works. It was demonstrated that protein sequences are not completely random sequences [48]. In particular, the statistical distribution of hydrophobic residues along chains of functional proteins is nonrandom [49]. Furthermore, protein sequences derived from corresponding complete genomes display a distinct multifractal behavior characterized by the so-called generalized Renyi dimensions (instead of a single fractal dimension as in the case of self-similar processes) [50]. It should be kept in mind that sequence correlations in real proteins is a delicate issue which requires a careful analysis.
