Milligram equivalent

The hydroxyl number is defined as the milligram equivalent of KOH per gram of the polymer, where a mole of KOH is equivalent to one mole of hydroxyl group. 

It is not necessary to determine or assume milligram equivalence between the experimental and the reference drugs used.
