Metrics safety program leadership

In the next chapter on safety program leadership, I will cover the value of using an employee-based safety team. Later, in Chapter 11 on metrics, I will review team-based safety metrics that can be used to encourage proactive safety first thinking and awareness. Teamwork works. 

Corporate Leaders—those providing the leadership commitment, setting the expectations, for a process safety performance and the supporting metrics system including the resources necessary to develop and implement such a program throughout the corporation to improve process safety. 

Provide three examples of benefits that effective leadership can provide a safety metrics program.
