Methacrylate propyl trimethoxy silane

Commercial products are based on 3-glycidoxy propyl trimethoxy silane. While they can perform well in a number of systems, they are relatively expensive and are mainly used in epoxies for which they are generally superior to other silane types. The epoxy products have received less scientific study than some of the other silanes but as with methacryl and amino, there is a strong possibility for deactivation of the epoxy group on a filler surface.
